Dress Code

Because we seek to honor God in all that we do, SCA expects students to be neat, clean, and wear modest apparel. Hats or any clothing with wording that is inconsistent with the beliefs and standards of SCA should not be worn.

Elementary Dress Code (Grades K4 - 5):

    • No Tank Tops, Sleeveless Tops or Midriff Shirts Allowed
    • No Shorts, Skorts, Capri Pants or Leggings Allowed
    • No Baggy Shirts or Pants Allowed
    • Sweatpants and Windpants May be Worn if in Good Condition
    • Skirts Must Fall to at Least the Middle of the Knee
    • No Haircuts with Designs in Them or Bowl Cuts Allowed
    • Boys May Not Wear Necklaces or Earrings

Junior High and Senior High Dress Code (Grades 6 - 12):

Daily Dress: The SCA Standardized Uniform is required to be worn by all Junior and Senior High Students. The Uniform includes the following articles of clothing:

    • Perfect Peace Short or Long Sleeved Polo shirt
    • Perfect Peace Long Sleeved dress shirt 
    • Perfect Peace Blouses
    • Parker Uniform Long Pant or Knee Length Skirt
    • Parker Uniform Long Sleeved Sweater or Cardigan (optional)

Violations of the standardized dress code will be treated as a disciplinary matter. Shirts designed to be tucked in must be tucked in at all times.  Polo shirts and blouses are available at Perfect Peace Book stores.  Jackets and approved sweatshirts must be purchased through Sunrise.  Approved cardigans, vests and sweaters are available for purchase at  Parker Uniforms. Skirts and pants must be approved Parker Uniform attire.  There are no exceptions to the uniform requirements. SCA's Web ID at Parker Uniforms is WI104129.

    Specifics for Young Men:
    • Socks Must be Worn
    • No haircuts with designs cut into them or bowl cuts
    • Hair Must be Neatly Trimmed Above Collar & Ears Must be Visible
    • Hair Must be One, Natural Color
    • No Earrings, Body Piercings or Tattoos
    • No Necklaces
    Specifics for Young Women:
    • Leggings are NOT permitted.
    • Reasonable (no big) earrings are permitted. 
    •  No body piercings or tattoos are allowed.
    • Hair Coloring that is Distracting or that Calls Undue Attention to the Individual is Not Allowed. This Includes Coloring that Does Not Look Natural or is Multi-colored.

Chapel Dress: SCA Uniforms only

Occasionally, students will be requested to dress up for an event.  Appropriate attire:

Boys may wear regular dress pants (no denim) and a dress shirt with collar and tie.  Pants must not be baggy or have oversized legs or holes.  Shirts are to be worn tucked in.

Girls may wear a skirt and top or dress . …

  • Skirts must be knee length.  Any slits in skirts must not be higher than knee length.
  • Blouses must be long enough to tuck in even if they are not worn tucked in.
  • No t-shirts – Modest dress tops with no collar are allowed.
  • No sleeveless tops or dresses.  This includes undershirt-style, tank tops, or “spaghetti” staps worn under and visible or over other blouses or tops.
  • No writing/visuals on shirts, sweatshirts or sweaters.  This includes emobossing, embroidering or screen printing.  Small trademark logos such as those that appear on pockets are permitted. 

 

Sweatshirts:

A uniform shirt must be worn underneath the approved black Sunrise sweatshirt at all times.  NO HOODIES of any kind, including Sunrise hoodies, are allowed.
