Crista Strong
My name is Crista Strong. I received my Bachelor's Degree in Physical Education with a Minor in Science and Health from University of the Ozarks in Clarksville, AR in 2000. I began teaching Health/Physical Education in Rogers, AR in 2000 at Lingle Middle School. I completed my Master's degree in Educational Administration from the University of Arkansas in 2005. I moved to Kansas in 2008 for my husband's job and began teaching Science at Haysville Middle School for the 2008-2009 school year. I taught Health in Wichita at Wilbur Middle School for the 2009-2010 school year. I gave birth to my youngest child in 2010 and stayed home to raise her and homeschool my older daughter until 2013 when I began teaching 4th grade at Bethel Life School. When Bethel closed I resumed homeschooling my children until 2015 when I accepted the 5th grade Language and History position at Sunrise.

I love children and thoroughly enjoy teaching them! I love teaching and laughing with my students and relating life stories with their smiling faces! Life is always more fun when you play with kids! My husband and I are firm believers in Christian education and we have determined that it is the only education our children will receive. Sunrise is a dream come true as it teaches sound Biblical Truth in addition to top-notch, excellent academics.

I love sports, physical activity, reading, my friends, and my family. I love nothing more than to play and laugh and relate God's mercy and wisdom to any who would hear. He is my Redeemer and though I'll never get it right, he took care of that with the shed blood of His only Son, Jesus Christ!

                          April 2017 News
S.A.T.'s will begin on Thursday, April 6th and end Tuesday, April 11th.
Testing will begin shortly after school begins at 8:30. Please try to
have your child at school by 8:25. If they come in late and testing has
begun, they will need to wait in the hall until that test is completed.
Tests that are missed will have to be made up in the summer, so
please try to have your child here on time every day.
Each day of testing we will be having snacks. Each child needs to
bring a HEALTHY SNACK each day of testing.
To make up for the stress of morning testing, we will have activities
planned for the afternoon:
Thursday:Outside Activities (weather permitting)
Friday:Read & Relax
Tuesday:Movie Day
Please make sure that your child gets plenty of rest each night and
eats a good breakfast during this week.
Make sure your child has a book or two to read every day of the S.A.T.'s.
If you have any questions concerning testing, please feel free to call
or drop by the classroom.
