We are beginning our second semester with a lot left to learn this year.  The third nine weeks is really the meat of our curriculum in phonics and math.  We will continue to learn more special sounds and add more concepts in math like fractions, time on the quarter hour, subtraction, adding unlike coins, etc.  We are also beginning our spelling units each week and are starting to learn the basics of cursive writing. 

In unit study, we will be studying our solar system, weather, seasons, Martin Luther King Jr., penguins, and Kansas.
