Welcome to my page! I graduated from Kansas Newman College in 1994 with a B.S. in education. I taught for two years at Belle Plaine Middle School as a 6th/7th grade science teacher along with coaching cross country and track. After my son, Blake, was born I stayed home to enjoy him, but during that time also did some substituting and finished my Physical Education and Health endorsement. Once my son reached Kindergarten age, we both went back to school. I started teaching at Bethel Life School while my son went to Kindergarten there. I taught middle school math, Health, Bible and K4-8th grade P.E. for 7 years, until the school's closing in 2014. In August 2014, I joined the staff at SCA, teaching K4-12 P.E. and Health. I enjoy teaching children, and seeing them grow physically, spiritually, and academically, has been very rewarding. Away from school, I enjoy spending time with my wonderful son, my super sweet Golden Retriever, Butter, working out at the Y, traveling and growing in my faith with Jesus Christ.
"For physical training is of some value but godliness has value for all things, holding promise for both the present life and the life to come."
1 Timothy 4:8 (NIV)
