The Sunrise Christian Academy Library is dedicated to encouraging reading by providing books with Christian values and themes.  Our inventory contains over 12,000 items and includes easy fiction, juvenile and adult fiction, nonfiction, and reference works.  We serve all faculty and students in grades K-12.  Kindergarten classes visit each week for story time and elementary classes have a scheduled check-out time each week.

Jr. High and High School have access to the library for research and check out.

 Monday - Friday 7:45 am- 4:00 pm

Overdue Policy

Library fines are  $.10 per school day.  Overdue and fine notices are sent out weekly.  After receiving five notices, Jr. High and High School students lose checkout privileges for 9 weeks.

World Book Online

World Book Encyclopedia 2011 is available for student use in the library.  World Book Online resources are available for all Kansas students.  Their web site offers an encyclopedia, dictionary, atlas, homework help, study aids, and curriculum guides.   Contact Mrs. Harms in the library, at 744-9262, for login information.

Recommended Reading List

The Children’s Gallery, Crown, and Lamplighter Awards are selected from secular books that provide wholesome values, uplifting characters, and edifying themes.  While we cannot endorse all of the books, this list can be a valuable resource for parents.
