Welcome to another exciting year! I look forward to a great time of discovering new information, developing new math skills, forming new friendships, and creating beautiful memories. It is my prayer that through all these, we will bring honor and glory to God as an individual, as a class, and as a school.
I am privileged to be part of a military family. God has taken us to different parts of the world where I witnessed and experienced how God’s amazing love touched people’s lives and how He provided for their needs regardless of where they come from. My husband, Rolando and I, are blessed with 2 children, Czarina 17, and Mikaela, 12.
I graduated with a Bachelor in Math and a MEd in Curriculum and Instruction from WSU. Before SCA, I also taught for 2 years at West High School and 10 years at a university in the Philippines. This is my 7th year as a full time JH/SH teacher. Yet in spite of my education and experiences, I know I am inadequate apart from God’s power.
My classes are characterized by active student participation, using manipulative resources, in individual or collaborative settings. Although these classes are different and the students are varied, there is one underlying theme: how to respond to God’s call to be responsible stewards of His creation using the knowledge we learn and skills we develop in the classroom.
As we build closer relationships this year, my vision and prayer is to see students commit to grow and become faithful followers of Christ even after their class with me is over.
