The National Honor Society at Sunrise held its first induction ceremony in the spring of 2006. They meet the first Wednesday of every month through the school year. A service project is planned each month. Also, each member is required to complete 10 service hours each semester outside of the scheduled group project.

2012 NHS Induction Ceremony

It was held here at Sunrise Christian Academy on March 1, 2012. The speaker was my husband, Dr. Michael O'Donnell. This is the 8th induction. We have 29 members and had 23 inducted, making a total of 52 members. Students have to have an unweighted GPA of 3.4 or higher, along with meeting the National Honor Society pillars of: leadership, service and character.
