Sunrise's academic program is designed to prepare students for time and eternity. Bible-based curriculum gives daily emphasis to God in our lives. Students are encouraged to seek His direction as they prepare for high school and for post-high school programs of study. Sunrise is pleased to offer a number of academicprograms. Our Academy program is a rigorous and well rounded curriculum. We offer advanced classes in English, math, science, and history in junior high. All academy classes in high school are taught at a rigorous college preparatory level. Our Summit program is for students who benefit from a more diverse learning mode. A more hands-on and interactive approach is used in the Summit program. In all English/history classes worldview is defined and explored. Through the math/science program, God's orderly universe is made known. Bob Jones and ABeka are the primary curriculum. For upper level math courses, secular texts are used when necessary to provide an even more challenging level of learning.
The Precept Christian School (PCS) program was formerly known as both Wichita Christian School and Sunrise Christian School from 1998 through 2007. PCS is a tutorial program and class size is limited to six students or less. PCS is aimed at mastering core material and is meant to be a practical learning experience. The atmosphere is designed to give students a relaxing and comfortable setting in which they are better able to learn and study. PCS Principal: Peggy O'Donnell Ph: 316.744.9262
