Mr. Smith began his time at Sunrise as a Kindergarten student in 1991. He graduated from SCA in 2003, then earned his BA in Business Administration with a specialization in international business from Wichita State University. The Lord called Jeremy back to Sunrise to teach in 2010, and a few years later was asked to join Administration as our Assistant Superintendent.

The succession plan is for Jeremy to assume the role of Superintendent when Dr. Lindsted retires. Jeremy always plans to teach at least one class so he can keep his finger on the pulse of the classroom and not be unreasonable in what he asks of his teachers.
Jeremy is married to his high school sweetheart, Shenel (they met at Sunrise!) and have four children who attend Sunrise. He loves spending time outdoors in God’s creation and with his family, which is his primary ministry.
Mr. Smith's favorite verse is Galatians 2:20, "I am crucified with Christ: nevertheless I live; yet not I, but Christ liveth in me: and the life which I now live in the flesh I live by the faith of the Son of God, who loved me and gave himself for me."
