What Makes SCA Kindergarten Unique?
Half Day Program - K
​
-We guarantee that your child will be reading by the end of the year (if your child attended Sunrise from the beginning of the year.)
-Kindergarten uses Abeka curriculum. This curriculum is phonics based which ensures a wonderful reading foundation.
-Math, Penmanship, and Spelling are other core subjects in our program.
-Art and craft activities help the children develop their fine motor skills.
-The students participate in Vocal Music.
-Children are provided with small class sizes, individualized attention, and the care needed to allow them to excel.
-Educational and exciting field trips are planned throughout the year to enhance learning.
All Day Program - K and K**

Children in these programs are provided with the Half Day Program opportunities plus the following:

-Social Studies and Science are important subjects added to the all day Kindergarten program. These subjects bring in hands on activities and challenge the students to a higher excellence.
-All day Kindergarten students also have Computer class. This class allows the students to begin to master key boarding skills.
-All day Kindergarten students also participate in Physical Education (PE) and Library.
-All day Kindergarten allows the students to excel and grow both academically and socially to prepare them for 1st Grade.
-K** Program - This program offers a faster paced and more advanced curriculum in phonics and reading. Your child must test into this program.

A Kindergarten readiness test is given to all applicants. Through the readiness test your child will be placed in the K or K** program.
