Junior and Senior High at Sunrise

6th Grade - 12th Grade

Junior & Senior High Principal:

Mrs. Meighan Keely

Overview: Our Junior and Senior High School is an aggressive academic program for the student that is truly motivated to pursue excellence in academics. Our school vision is that we will come alongside parents to raise their children to relate to all men/women through a program that provides growth for wise living, strength for strong bodies, and depth in the knowledge of God and man. Students are encouraged to "go into all the world" sharing truth with people of all nations to impact the community and the world for the cause of Christ. Teachers focus on presenting college preparatory content while integrating a Biblical worldview. The junior high and senior high curriculum consists of Bob Jones Press, Abeka, and Glencoe and Larson for high school math. Up to 14 dual college credits are available on campus and we partner with a variety of online dual credit providers such as Liberty, Grand Canyon University, and Butler Community College. Junior and Senior High students are required to wear uniforms.  All students have Bible class every day and a chapel once per week where they will be encouraged to continually deepen their relationship with the Lord, memorize scripture, and serve the kingdom of God. We have a 100% graduation rate and 95% of students go on to two and four year colleges. Our teaching staff are professionally degreed and partner with our families to ensure their students are receiving the best education to live with God and mankind for "for time and eternity."

Levels of instruction: Sunrise offers multiple levels of instruction in core classes. We offer standard classes, a Precept Tutorial Program and advanced classes in English, History, Math, and Science. Placement in the advanced classes is based on a combination of teacher recommendation, SAT test scores, and placement testing. There is a 6:1 student/teacher ratio in the Precept program, which does increase the cost of tuition.
